Mon-spook-oply
A downloadable game
Mon-spook-oply is a brand new adaptation to the family boardgame Monopoly, this version features a bunch of new features and changes such as:
- A New "Clock System" for the board.
- A New "Trick or Treat System".
- Changes to Community Chests to Goodie Bags
- Changes Chance spaces to be more Spooky (May contain a few familiar faces!)
The Clock System
The Clock System changes the board to resemble a clock, with Go beig 12 o'clock, Jail being 3 o'clock, Free Parking being 6 o'clock and Go to Jail being 9 o'clock.
Trick or Treating System
- Players can participate in Trick or Treating between 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock.
- Trick or Treat cards can be found in community chests or be earned when visiting properties from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock.
- When landing on a housed property that isn't your own, instead of paying rent you can play a trick or treat card.
- Trick or treat cards are played by rolling a dice then doing the corresponding action on the card.
- Each player can hold 3 Trick or Treat cards.
- A player can reroll the dice total to the number of houses on the plot. 1 house = 1 roll, 2 houses = 1 roll + an optional second reroll.
- Trick or Treat cards cannot be used on hotels (because who's trick or treating at a hotel?)
Changes to the rules
For Property Before 6 o'clock
Normal Rules apply with the addition of:
- Landing on property you own allows you to pay for a trick or treat card at the expense of missing a turn.
- During missing a turn you cannot collect rent
For Property after 6 o'clock
- When all plots of a colour are owned you can build houses on them if you own the majority of the set. (you don't need all 3)
- Players can pay rent or take a gamble using a trick or treat card when landing on a property with a house. If it is a hotel on the square the player must pay rent.
Passing Go
- Passing Go is the same
- When Landing ON go you can collect a trick or treat card at the expense of 200 Currency
Free Parking
- When Landing on free parking (after 1 rotation around the board) you can "Scare" another player at the expense of missing a turn.
- Spooking another means they must return a trick or treat card to the deck.
Other changes to the board
- Community Chests have been replaced by "Goodie bags" which gives the player a Trick or Treat Card, When landing on a square you can pick up or swap from the top 1 card from the deck. Maximum of 3 cards held per player.
- Chances have now been "Spookafied" to be more halloween-like. Some cards may also feature a familiar face or 2.
